Examples of Past Projects
Evaluation of business models for remote second opinion (RSO) and telemedicine services:
This project involved surveying current USCIPP members as well as other organizations co‐identified with SPF sponsors to provide a more in-depth analysis of how RSOs and telemedicine services are positioned within the broader business models of international patient care.
Staffing/positions analysis and compensation survey for international patient care positions:
Select USCIPP member programs were surveyed about the nature and kinds of positions comprising their international patient programs. This included the collection of job descriptions that were then cross-walked to identify a standardized set of jobs and job families. These jobs/families were then used to structure a compensation survey. Deliverables included (1) sample job descriptions for the common/standardized positions and (2) a summary report that included compensation practices and rates for a core set of standardized positions.
Predictive analytic models for international medical travel to the United States:
The purpose of this project was to develop data-driven analytic models that predict markets with opportunities for growth in the number of patients traveling to the United States for medical care. Models were created to identify (1) countries that currently do not have an existing market but that have an opportunity for development and (2) markets that exist and have an opportunity for growth.
