How the mission for global healthcare access comes to life through our members.
USCIPP is a nonprofit membership association of American academic medical centers, hospitals, and health systems that work together to advance international access to US-based healthcare. All of our nearly 70 organizational members have a focus on providing care to international patients, and many also engage in international educational collaborations, provide management services to organizations in other countries, and/or offer consulting services to hospitals and governments abroad.
USCIPP operates on a member-driven agenda of research, benchmarking, education, and awareness-building. Our portfolio of activities includes the annual collection of benchmarking data on international patient market dynamics and international program operations, which we then aggregate, anonymize, and report back to members; an annual, in-person meeting for members; periodic webinars; the management of a listserv that promotes networking and information sharing among US healthcare providers; the facilitation of an on-site collaboration program for members; an international patient experience survey initiative; and more. We also work in close collaboration with the International Trade Administration of the US Department of Commerce and other governmental agencies to promote and maintain ChooseUSHealth, the official branding initiative for American healthcare backed by the US federal government.
